Job Description

Purpose; Support the Balance Sheet Manager in delivering a value adding, integrated and efficient Cash Flow reporting and planning cycle to drive business performance and decision making. Provide quality financial analysis working closely with the business.

Accountabilities; Support the Strategic & Operational planning cycles for Cash Flow including proactively ensuring compliance of process, timelines and data requirements for the ABU, RBUs and Business Plan Support FP&A Balance Sheet Manager to analyse business Cash Flow forecasts, understanding and evaluating key business drivers and ensuring process is underpinned by consistent assumptions Prepare insightful analysis of Cash Flow, including Working Capital, for Senior Executive Team and Board presentations through rigorous analysis of forecasts and track subsequent performance vs. targets on a monthly basis On an ad hoc basis support the Capital reporting and planning processes. Undertake SET liaison responsibilities for a number of Business areas to develop a detailed understanding of that business area, the business drivers and risks and opportunities. Ensure robust forecasting and performance reporting for the business area Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives Maximise exploitation of group systems Seek opportunities for continuous improvement of the group Cash Flow planning and performance management processes

Experience Essential; Qualified finance professional Experience of working as a service provider within a large multinational organisation Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team Desirable; Experience in Cash Flow planning and reporting

The operating environment; About the team An integral part of the Controllers group, the FP&A Team is a dynamic team focused on delivering high quality support to the Group Chief Financial Officer, SVP Finance & Group Financial Controller in their dealings with the AstraZeneca Board, Senior Executive Team and FSMT. The team also supports both Investor Relations and the SPBD Corporate Strategy Team.

A position in this team offers an individual exposure to business issues affecting the Group\'s current performance and strategic initiatives. The role also offers a detailed insight into the pharma industry in general and the external pharma analyst perspective on AZ.
