Client:
• A large public sector organisation in Cheshire is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team.
Role:
• Providing professional advice to service clients on all aspects and interpretation of HR policies procedures
• Delivering HR advice and support in respect of specialist areas eg. WPMP, TUPE, Grievance, Dignity at Work, job evaluation, equality of opportunity, health and safety, recruitment and selection and redeployment
• Contributing to the development of policies and procedures and the communication of such policies and procedures to ensure that employees are managed fairly and have access to up to date and relevant information
• Liaising with the Employee Service Centre as appropriate to ensure that admin activities and standards complement the professional HR service
• Providing advice on and deliver training and development in order to ensure that managers and employees are well trained in HR matters
• Providing advice on job evaluation, assist managers with the preparation of gradings paperwork, undertake job evaluations and act as secretary to job evaluation panels to ensure schemes are applied consistently and evaluation decisions are properly defended at appeal
Candidate:
• Good generalist HR knowledge is essential
• CIPD is highly desirable
• Good system skills
